WE’VE MADE PUBLIC SECTOR BIOMASS PROCUREMENT EASIER THAN EVER

We are pleased to announce that we are now approved suppliers on the Fusion21 Retrofit framework providing a fast, easy solution for public sector organisations to tender retrofit projects.

Organising remedial, retrofit or servicing works for public sector organisations can be a bit of a headache with a number of stringent processes that need to be adhered to. The Fusion21 framework however makes things much simpler and we’re proud to a part of it. Becoming more efficient and environmentally friendly should be made as easy as possible for public sector organisations, so we are happy to support the framework.

Fusion21 is a hugely successful social enterprise that provides procurement service to the public sector. Since it was set up in 2002, the enterprise has delivered savings of £125 million to its members and now has a UK wide membership of over 180 organisations, covering a wide variety of replacement, retrofit and servicing works, including biomass projects.

To become an approved supplier we had to complete a comprehensive two part tender process, during which we had to demonstrate our experience and offer example quotes for generic scenarios. Now approved, we are one of only two biomass specialists awarded to the four-year framework. Open to any organisation that adheres to Public Contract Regulations, Fusion21 offers a procurement service that means users can avoid costly and time-consuming tendering processes, such as those set out by the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).

Switching to a biomass heating system can have huge benefits for a wide variety of public sector organisations. Not only can operating a biomass system save thousands in running costs and significantly reduce carbon emissions, it can actually generate income through the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) as well.
