RHI Updates - September 2017
RHI UPDATES - SEPTEMBER 2017
The government laid amendments to the RHI scheme before parliament on 30th August.
These contain most but not all of the changes that were suggested in the consultation and previous aborted amendments.
The key facts are below:
- Comes into force for new applications from 20th September 2017
- All biomass moves onto a single tariff
- Tier 1 threshold is 35% duty
- Tier 1 tariff is 2.96 p/kWh
- Tier 2 tariff is 2.08 p/kWh
- Biomass CHP tariff unchanged at 4.29 p/kWh
- A pre-accreditation mechanism has NOT been included at this time
