Fuel Supply
Wood Pellets
Rural Energy can supply wood-pellets in bulk or bags for commercial or domestic use. The pellets are 6mm in diameter and are suitable for use in wood-pellet boilers and wood-pellet stoves. Our own wood-pellets are made from dry sawdust from clean, untreated timber.
Wood-chip
We source timber and wood residues for processing into wood-fuel. Bulk supply can be arranged to the end-user in loads from 10 – 90m3. Alternatively we can deliver wood in round form for chipping on site using our contract chipping service.
Chipping
We have a 10 inch tractor powered wood-chipper that is available for hire locally with operator. This is often the best solution for small scale wood-heat users who do not have their own chipper but can source wood themselves.
A large proportion of Rural Energy’s wood-fuel is sourced from local woodlands. In the past, we’ve worked closely with the newly formed producer group East Midlands Wood Fuels to maximise utilisation of wood from local farms and woodlands.
